Who we are

Nova Drive Rijschool is responsible for processing your personal data as described in this statement.

What data we collect

We only collect data you give us yourself:

• When you enquire or sign up: your name, phone number, email address, town, the language you want lessons in and the content of your message.
• During your course: data needed to schedule lessons and exams, such as your date of birth and CBR details, plus notes on your progress.
• For invoicing: the details a valid invoice legally requires.

This website has no contact form that sends data to a server. The form on the contact page opens WhatsApp with your answers filled in; you send the message yourself.

Why we use your data

• To answer your enquiry or sign you up. Basis: your request and the preparation of a contract.
• To give driving lessons and book exams. Basis: performance of the contract between you and Nova Drive.
• To issue invoices and keep our records. Basis: legal obligation.

We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not send newsletters unless you ask for one.

Cookies and visitor statistics

This website sets no cookies. Nothing is stored on or read from your device, and there is no Google Analytics or any other visitor tracking. That is why you will not see a cookie banner here.

The fonts are served from our own server, so viewing this website sends no request to any third party.

Who we share data with

• WhatsApp (Meta). If you contact us via WhatsApp, that message passes through Meta and WhatsApp's own privacy policy applies. If you would rather avoid that, call or email us instead.
• CBR. To book an interim test or practical exam we pass on the details required for it.
• Our hosting provider. This website is hosted with Netlify. Their servers record standard technical data including your IP address. Netlify is based in the United States; the transfer relies on the applicable standard safeguards.
• Our bookkeeping. Invoice data is processed for financial administration and tax returns.

We do not provide your data to anyone else unless legally required to.

How long we keep data

• Enquiries that do not lead to lessons: at most 12 months after the last contact.
• Student records: at most 2 years after you finish the course.
• Invoices and accounts: 7 years, as required by the Dutch tax authority.

Security

We take appropriate measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorised access. The website is fully secured with HTTPS. Only the instructor has access to student records.

Your rights

You have the right to see your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to processing and to request that your data be transferred.

Send your request to v.g.smirnov@novadrive.nl. We respond within four weeks. To avoid giving data to the wrong person, we may ask you to identify yourself.

If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Changes

We may update this privacy statement, for instance if we change how we work. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
